At the Teacups today. The sets always go fast because there's not a lot of down time in between. Best part of the sets was when the White Rabbit and Alice were talking to a little girl named Bella. Bella was three years old and she asked Alice if the White Rabbit could talk. Alice said, of course he could talk, and then Bella wanted to know why he wasn't talking right then. (Shit.) Alice told her it was because the Cheshire Cate had stolen the Rabbit's tongue and so he couldn't talk right then. Bella says, "But he could talk in the movie!!" Oh dear, how I both love and rue precocious children. Laughs.
Day parade today was a hoot and a half. Got called out for wearing my winter dress; course, the last time I was there I was told that it was character discretion whether or not to wear winterwear. This has apparently changed. Told the manager I would change if he went and got me another dress (seeing as it was about 10 minutes to step off) but he said just remember for next time. Jerk. Whatever. Best part though was that my friends Waldy (Tim's roommmate) and Josh Longshore got pulled to hang out with TweedleDee and TweedleDum. Now, you must understand, they are both GAY. Yes, in capitol letters. And crazy to boot. I was cracking up so hard during step off watching them do spins and twirls like little gay boys. Hilarious!! Wish I could have taped it. Good parade, though I got a little bit warm wearing my winter dress and a Chillie too. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer though, so it won't be a problem.
Tim was doing day parade today too, so we got off at the same time. Walked out to our cars together, and he asked me what I was doing. I thought he had another poker game or something but he said he didn't have to go anywhere for a while, and I could come over if I wanted to. I said, of course I would love to come over, so I followed him home. We're such interesting people. I'd been up since 4:30am with no nap, and he apparently didn't sleep much either since he was at work at 8:45am, so we got to his apartment, turned on SVU...and passed out. Like seriously asleep, for about two hours. I must be exhausted. Woke up a little while later....yeah. Told you, impossible. *grin* He had to leave in a little bit to go home to his parents house, so we talked for a little bit before he had to go. Poor baby; wish I could help him with all the crap he's putting up with from his family, but the only thing I can do is just support him. I wish that they wouldn't put him in the middle though.
Came home and didn't really feel like doing much, so I popped in Prince Caspian. It's one of those movies that people always played in the breakroom, so I've seen most of it, but never in order all at once. It was okay, I guess, I kept getting distracted by trying to figure out who was doing the voices (I was right, it WAS Eddie Izzard doing Reepicheep!) and thinking that Caspian totally looked like Earl! (Good job, Casting!) However, the end of the movie I really loved. Not so much for the movie itself, but for the music. It just made me feel so...well, I don't even really know. Peaceful? Contemplative? Serene? At one? However you want to describe it--and I don't think I really can--I loved it. The three songs at the end, "The Call" by Regina Spektor; "This is Home" by Switchfoot; and "A Dance 'Round the Memory Tree" by Oren Lavie were so incredibly beautiful. Must download. But for now, must go to bed. Teacups and parade again tomorrow; curse you 4:30am!!!
