Wendy-Bird

...what's the word?? BURN.....

It's strange, how I can work in a place supposedly so magical, and forget that magic, yet still sit in my own room and remember that dreams are REAL, by watching those same movies we portray every day.

Off today. Went to bed at 4 watching Full Metal Alchemist. Now I have to wait until Monday for my new discs to get here. Pooh. Tim was totally drunk last night too, went to bed about the same time I did, but still managed to say I love you first. Silly boy. *fond smile* Slept until about 12:30 (yay for sleeping in again!) took a shower and drove to Tires Plus to get my car in. Needed an oil change and a couple rear lights replaced, and I thought that was all--except that I needed my brakes flushed and my fuel injection system cleaned as well. Sooo...instead of dropping around $50, I spent more like $200. Ouch. Good thing I got paid today. Guess that means no shopping till next week. That took a couple hours then picked up Carly from the airport. She was in NYC for the dancer/singer Tokyo auditions. Would have liked to go myself, but I can't afford it. Meh.
Came home and didn't really have anything to do, so I put in my new copy of The Princess and the Frog. If you haven't seen it, DO. It's amazing. Totally a breakthrough film. Not only Disney's first non-Caucasian, bi-racial couple, but also one of the first stories that says to work hard for what you want, and don't just expect wishing on a star to get you where you want to go. And the music is phenomenal. Well, that put me in the mood, so I pulled out my favorite princess movie--The Little Mermaid. I remember seeing it in theaters in 1989 when I had laryngitis myself, and from that moment on, I was in love with Eric, and I wanted to be a mermaid. Haha, look at me now--I've got half my dream come true! *wink* Don't worry; one day I'll be up on the stage wearing seashells too. My roommate Lara came home while I was watching it, and yelled "I'm judging you right now!" That's because she worked at Voyage of the Little Mermaid today and had to hear that soundtrack about 20 times. I don't care though; that movie still moves me. And I still want to be Ariel. And yes, I'm still in love with Eric. But that's okay, because now my Prince Eric loves me too. *grin* Think it might be time to get some sleep though. Tomorrow's going to be a crazy day at the Castle--myself, Tim, Adam, and Carly are all going to be there!! Get ready for some fun!!
