Glory

I journeyed homeward into a blaze of color. Vermilion, plum and lavender caressed wisps of magenta and rose, while its riotous heart was a fierce goldenrod and crimson. Its pigmented skirt draped over the bowl, molten, pulsing, shimmering in its last breaths. Hued fingers reached farther than the eye could see, tickling the tops of the bare trees, reaching down to embrace the frigid earth. My eyes stung with the majesty of a glorious death, and my heart was touched by its simple elegance.

Lady, what a sunset.
