Meh.

Internet was offline all weekend, but nothing much happened. I mean, I'm sure you've all figured it out: Go to bed late, wake up late, read books, shower, eat. Go to bed late again. Nothing special.

However, I am updating from my new laptop! She's pretty and shiny and can do all sorts of nifty stuff. For those who care, it's an Acer Aspire 3004WLMi, and I likes it. I think I'm going to call her Alice.

Have read a lot of books. Finished Mercedes Lackey's book "Music to my Sorrow." While the plot left a little to be desired, I agreed wholeheartedly with the sentiments. And, as a stupid side note, she referenced Trigun, which is one of the animes that I love! *claps hands* It made me giggle.

Also finished "Kushiel's Scion." And, oh, yes, it was fabulous. I really enjoy seeing the story from Imriel's point of view. And I'm really glad I hadn't read the other books too long ago, because they reference them quite a lot.

Have nearly finished a series by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Don't know rightly what it's called, but the books are "Ghostlight," "Witchlight," "Gravelight," and "Heartlight." About halfway through with "Heartlight." I think they are interesting--not just straight fantasy, but occult and parapsychology as well. Interesting to say the least.

Saw fireworks tonight. It was pretty cool sitting on the lake and watching them go up. Especially when a whole bunch went off at once and the boat looked like it was on fire. I hope that was supposed to happen. If not, then I hope everyone is okay at least.

Kind of hungry and worn out. Not sleepy though, unfortunately. Last night I even tried going to bed early since I was yawning, but I just dozed for about an hour, then got up and read until 3:30. Oh, well. C'est la vie, non? Que sera, sera.
